I love your idea. I have been dreaming about a picker's retreat for a while now. I tried to describe in my journal how the retreat looks in my mind a while back ago, it is quoted below. I think the price would be of importance, but not of great importance (maybe it could be covered by insurance? How is it for treament places for alcoholics - who pays?). It would be important to me that the place is only for pickers. And actually, to be honest, it might even be neccessary to make a distinction between what kind of pickers. I think for instance for face pickers to be able to feel completely relaxed and walk around without make-up, it might be neccessary to have them placed together - not with a scalp picker who has a perfect complexion. Well, I don't really know how to handle this, just a thought I had. Different kinds of picking would probably also require different kind of treatments.
The location would not matter very much to me. I think it might even be beneficial for the treatment if it was far away from home.

People could stay days, weeks (or even months), depending on their situation. Mirrors are of course removed from the rooms on request. And every room should have an emergency button - in case you need someone to come and prevent you from picking..... . Feel free to come with more ideas !!

) I have been suffering and destroying my noise for the last three months going to work with bandaides etc.wishing for a place to go where they would take away anything I could hurt myself with no sharp anything around me no mirror to stare into just time to heal and the only place is a mental hospital and that sucks I was there once against my will for three days do to a bad picking wound i'd made a few years ago and it was a horriable experience and not the place we need for our problem.
