it went really well and lasted hours. i cried a bit when i was talking about my mother. . well anyway i went through my thoughts and compulsions and he listerned and asked questions about how it makes me feel if i dont do them, etc. i found he was really good. and ive been put on a waiting list for CBT but while im waiting im going to go back and see him and hes going to help me with over things . ive got given a book on anxiety and how to clam yourself in a panic attack. he also said that i had depression and i wasnt expecting that but its a relif in away knowing whats wrong. he also said hes going to ask my doctor to put me on a higher dosage of citalopram. noooo i dont what them horrible side effects again . does anyone know if they would be worse if the dosage is higher?

Hi flower That is great that everything went well. I hope seeing the psychologist and eventually getting CBT will help you overcome this. I think the side effects might be a bit stronger when you get a higher dose, but I guess only for a short time until your body is used to the increased dose. Hope it will not be to bad. hoppe

Hi Flower!
Good for you for going to your assessment. I take 60 mg of citalopram per day. When I increased my my doses, i did it very slowly. This lessened the intensity of side effects. I found that the side effects from the increases were much less than my original starting doese ones. Good luck!
I have also begun to take seroquel. Its changing everything. it is awesome!
