hi well when i went to the derm, different ones when i had wounds..... all of them just prescribed bactobran (muporicin) a topical antibiotic. its clear like neosporin but stronger casue its more specific for staph which is the microbe most commonly found on the face i know a lot of us are embarrased to go to doc especially when we have the actual wound, so what i did i looked on line and its really difficult to get this cause you need a prescription. but i found it on this website. a bit expensive, but worth it for when you really need it, it it really seems like its not healing. i read somewhere that its as good as using oral antibiotic. its great www.rxasia.com/bactroban.htmlits expensive cause from this website you have to buy two of them cause there is a minimum of forty something. i bought two, but belive me i have been looking and never found it.

Hi anon I don't know if you can get it, but I use a mild antibacterial soap called Hibitane. Its what hospitals use to clean wounds. It doesn't sting. Its a little drying so be sure to moisturize around the sore if you wash with it. I'm (somehow) very good to my face and I found that the best way to stay that way is by using this stuff every day, even when I dont have facial blemishes. If you can find it, you should try it. It should be in the acne care area of the the drugstore. Not in cosmetics. Take care.

That stuff is great for bad wounds. It seems to seal them right up.
