Hi guys, I'm new here. Just thought I would ask whether anyone uses Aloe Vera gel to heal their pickings? I recently bought some in a tube from a Health Food shop and it is the best thing I have ever used to create a kind of film over raw, open pickings so that make-up can be applied more easily. I mean, there is nothing worse than not being able to cover up the mess that you have just created on your face. Anyone got any other methods of covering raw, open wounds??
Hope everyone is doing well
Gemma

hey gemma...i use aloe on my arms, but i use the real thing. You can buy it in it's plant form, and i just break off a leave once and twice a day and rub it all over. I definitely think that its been helping my arms to heal much quicker...and it helps with scarring too!

I use some cheap aloe vera gel on my face after cleansing when it feels icky and it tends to help breakouts (come to think of it I could use some now...getting to be that time of the month and I have been really picky lately!) I love it though, it always makes my skin feel smooth and clean for hours and helps keep moisture in.
If trying to heal open wounds, desitin creamy (light diaper rash ointment) does wonders but you can only put it on at night because it won't look pretty.

What about on wounds that are already scabbed but not quite healing or healing slow? I just used some of that for the scabs. But what would work better I cant do the bandaid/neo thing cause theres too many lil scab bumps and not enuff bandaids (not like they would stick cause of all the neo i would have to use) But anyone got any quick healing methods for that, that would cause less scarring in the end?
