I am studying how perfectionism relates to CSP, so something else I would like to gather is results to the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale. This is a scale that measures perfectionism on several different levels. It is a 35-question questionnaire.
If you would like to take it (please!!), please send me an e-mail at mdepaolo@ufl.edu and put "CSP" in the subject line. I will send you the questionnaire and you can simply e-mail it back to me.
I love you guys, you've been such a big help to me!

done and done.
i have heard that perfectionism is linked with ocd, depression, and social/anxiety/panic disorders~ it makes sense, from a personal standpoint, and must be very interesting to study. i think i've taken this survey before, so i should get it done and back to you pretty quickly...
have a good day!

angel, thank you for studying this, and thank you for sharing your results... it's very interesting that we're all so much alike.
i'm a perfectionist in most things i do- if it affects other people at all... a desire to please? but if it only affects myself... well, sometimes i let it go...
as i was doing this survey (i have done one similar to it before) i realized how cool my parents were with me... they raised me to be very independent (i never had a curfew or got grounded), were supportive of everything i decided to do (even the purple hair:))and never put much pressure on me to excel in everything (they let me drop out of the gifted program at school, and never gave me trouble that i didn't want to go to college right away). it just makes me realize that i have no one to blame, and my perfectionism is just another pressure/stress that i create myself.
i wanted to get this post to the top of the page, again, just in case anyone missed it before... i hope your study goes well!

Thanks firegirl :-)
You are exactly right about the perfectionism being an internal thing. For example, I took that perfectionism survey and so did my brother. However, i rated my parents more critically than he did. I felt they had pushed me and expected the best from me, while he had a very different perception. THen I realized...I EXPECTED that THEY expected me to do my best...it was my perception that was skewed, and affected how I reacted to my parents and my own "failures", if they really were failures at all.
sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
