Hi, I'm New

Hi everyone, I came across the site a few weeks ago. I have been picking for about 10 years, and after each "session" I tell myself it is my last, so my willpower is not very good!

I relate to everyone's feelings on this annoying habit. I thought I would eventually stop picking, but I haven't, so it is time to do something about this. It is a huge waste of time and makes me look terrible!

I feel much better just to know that this is an actual condition. I'm sort of looking at it now like it is an addiction just like any other, and baby steps are key. Take it one minute at a time, I tell myself.

Thank you everyone for sharing on this board, it helps to know I am not the only person with CSP.

I'll be working hard to stop, and will post anything I think might be helpful.

If you're anything like me, you've probably been checking the board constantly to see any responses! I got bummed when I didn't have many to my "i'm new' post. So, I think you need a proper welcome aboard! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Every day I check the number of members and it keeps going up- so there are lots of us out there that do this!
I also always tell myself I'm going to quit, but just don't seem like I have the will power either. And I'm sick of how I make myself look too. This board has been a big wake up call for me though, I'm i'm really trying to stop. I hope you find it helpful too! If you need anything- just drop me a line!

Hey, you know, most of us feel the same way you do and were surprised that we actually weren't the only ones who did this. Now, with the support of many people on here, I have cut my picking in half and others have too. Just keep in touch babe.

Thanks everyone for the welcome, I have really cut down on the picking since finding this site, which for me is big. It helps to talk about it like this, not keeping it a secret. I know it's all in my head, there really isn't a whole lot wrong with my skin.
