Hi All- Hope you are all doing well, it is a really crappy day here!! Well I have been doing really well at not picking my face - other areas not so good - but I decided to go to Marshall Fields to the Clinique counter and have my make-up done. It was so much fun, my sister went with me. The lady was extremely knowledgable and really nice, she told me exactly what make-up to use, all oil-free, and how to apply it so that it covered any scars. When she was done it looked so natural and it lasted all day! My next treat will be to use my gift certificate for my facial that my husband bought me for my birthday ! Carree

carree, that's awesome...you're taking care of yourself and being nice to yourself and that's the best thing...i mean, i realized if i don't take care of myself and love myself, who else will?
i just scored my dream job--i'm working as a marketing intern at a company in the pro audio industry and getting paid really well for a college student. usually i forget to take a moment to actually celebrate my successes--i'm usually thinking, okay, that's done, what do i have to do next? anybody else think like that?
so this time, i'm celebrating by getting my hair done. i love having my hair colored and cut and styled but i'm usually broke and can't do it. now i can actually afford it :-) WOOOOHOOOOOO!! i feel like i'm rich. hell, i might even get my nails done :-)

Good for you Angel I love getting my hair done!! I have two sisters and they both are beauticians so usually I always have someone to do my hair. I need a new color for the fall....maybe I will have to hit one of them up!! New make-up, new hair and what a good idea maybe even new nails. Maybe then I wouldn't pick at my cuticles so much. I even have a gift certificate for a pedicure that I still haven't used from my birthday. My lower legs are pretty much a mess and I will just be so embarrassed to have them massage my feet and calves!!! But I am sure that they will use the amount towards nails instead..... My sister-in-law is getting married next month, I should make an appointment to get them done right before the wedding. Well now I am excited Carree

Hi Carree,
Before I became a member, I sighned on as "Can We Win This" and Florida Blue's. I just joined you guys and I want to Thank You for responding to my message. I am going to think positive about finding help, so I changed my name to something about this new safe place I have found. About an hour ago I really messed up. I let my husband down by picking everything that healed on my arms in about 5 minutes time. He walked in to put some medicine on me and saw me bleeding. He just shook his head and said, Why? You know what? I don't know why I did it, but I am going to try my hardest tomorrow.
Hope to talk to you and some new friends too!
God Bless! *Sanctuary*

Carree- do you remember what type of foundation/concealer she used?
(I mean, the specific name like Superfit or Barely Skin or whatever)

Kathy- First she used Superfit makeup foundation followed by Stay-Matte sheer pressed powder. She then used a city stick concealer for any areas that needed a little extra coverage. She said most people put that on first but it works better if you put it on after. Something else that I really like is the pore minimizer, she used that after the 3-step cleansing. I really think I can already see a difference and I have only been using it since Sunday!! Carree

That's an interesting tip to know. Especially since I have a City Stick. I don't like foundation at all (it makes me feel like my skin can't breathe), so in lieu of that I use Cliniques Superpowder double face makeup. It probably isn't any less thick than a foundation with powder over it, but I've convinced myself that it is. ;D
