Thank you to the creator and the participants of this message board. I have referred to it twice during the past year, each time when I had a significant relapse. I am happy to say that I am toward the end of the most recent one. My picking behavior involves picking a blemish on my chin and not letting it heal for months. Although the problem is isolated to a small area and normally one blemish at a time, I suffer from all the symptoms that everyone has described. As far as tips, I use Neosporin when the skin is still infected and, once there is no discharge, I use zinc oxide, a soothing white creme, that immediately reduces redness and swelling. Regarding more mental or emotional hints, I don't profess to have any. I haven't even thrown out my tweezers. As some have said, I admit my powerlessness over this illness and can only hope this is my last bout for some time. More than anything, this message board has helped me. Thanks again.
