I have just started a course on remedial massage at uni. Something my lecturer said is what first sparked the idea in my head that skin picking was an actual problem, not just me being stupid. She said that massage can help people with eating disorders, self injurers and people who pick at their skin. Surprising, yes, but when you think about it, it could be helpful. Massage can help you feel more comfortable about your body and about touch. It also raises seratonin levels and she said that low seratonin levels can lead to depression and compulsive behaviour. It may or may not help you, but I just thought I'd let you know, because it's an avenue that most people don't consider. There are plenty of massage therapists around, many are in clinics with other natural therapists. I hope this can help some of you, I'll let you know if it's helping me as time goes on anyhow I get massages in class once a week, so yay! ;D

That explains why I'm always asking Ry for massages.
