Hi! I posted a while back saying that I had a sore on my head, my own fault obviously but it made me so sick of myself and i fell into a depression. Well Im kinda out of that now - my picking has totally decreased, I stopped applying lots of different lotions etc and made myself understand that I had the power to control my obsession! soooooo i have a good tip for ya all - vaseline! I know, you wouldnt automatically think to apply this to a sore but it soothes it, moisturises it and also helps the healing! For the last week, I havent picked at all and every night(nad day when i was in the house) i applied a big blob of vaseline to my sore and esp overnight, it really helps! If theres a scab, its so much less noticable. Also I found that when i was using my face wipes the bad skin just came off when i wiped over it, revealing new refreshed skin undeneath! And it isnt as red either! I think im onto something! Please note though, that vaseline wont help if you keep picking and then put it in, you HAVE TO STOP picking, even of only for 4 days and honestly ull c an improvement. Vaselines also good for dry skin so I use it round my nose etc to get rid of this. Hope this helps some of ya! xx

I agree. Vaseline rocks.
My hands get really dry from being outside all of the time, and if I slather it on it keeps them from cracking/being too painful. It's also good on spots that I've picked at, just like Sillime pointed out, and definitely on my lips (so much better than any sort of lip balm) and dry places on my face (around my nose when I get a cold).
I heard on the radio that Vaseline is the best type of moisturizer that there is. The downfall to it is that it can make you break out (because of how greasy it is), so use in moderation!
