The best way to not pick is to be around people all the time. You start picking when you are alone. I started going to a band camp. (i play the flute) and the camp is 12 hours long! everyone i know goes there. (it's required for school) and there is not one moment where you are ever alone. (exept in the bathroom) but when i'm in the bathroom, or wherever i happen to be my motivation is that if i pick everyone will see what i have done, and that would be terrible. i hope this helps.
