I have tried and tested cutting out all caffeine, cola, chocolate and popcorn (which were all favourite items but worth the result). This has stopped my picking completely. I carry decaf wherever I go and explain that I'm allergic to caffeine. I've managed to sort myself out before my two babies can witness my problem. And I'll be monitoring their habits

Hi,,,the derms and books tell us that what we eat doesn't cause break outs but I can certainly tell them they are wrong. For me, salt triggers a break out. And I truly lovvvveeeee plain tortilla chips and every time I give into the crave I pay the price. Sunflowers seeds will do the same thing. I read somewhere that its the iodine. Sagacious

It's great to know of any "triggers". I couldn't believe I held a job managing 13 staff and yet I couldn't manage to keep my hands off my face! But when I stopped taking these foods the urge to pick just seemed to erase from my memory.

i noticed a similar result when i cut out all sugar and sweeteners. my mood improved a ton, i picked significantly less, and my skin actually looked radiant.
