My doctor tried a variation of Haldol and it didn't work...so he decided to finally try it. I take .25 mg in the a.m. and .50 mg at night. He also put me on Benztropine (.5mg/2X) to counteract any possible side effects (that I wrote about in the previous reply).
Well, I want to thank you Karmen for sharing this with us because after many medications and attempts to stop, something FINALLY worked! I am having similar results as you did. I still pick, but instead of 2-3 hours of it, I may do 5 minutes here and there. I can resist many of my urges to pick.
Its been a month so far and I had about 50 sores on my breasts and am down to 6 now and the rest of my body is having similar results....I'm still very scarred but I can finally look into scar therapy once they all heal. I have had mini-lapses about 3 times and can do a lot of damage in a short amount of time, but overall I am so excited about finally healing!!!
I have a ways to go and to be honest, I have found myself developing other CSP areas (like biting my lips), but luckily they were short term.
