If you are young the red mark will fade quickly, mine always did when young. Now that I'm 28 they fade slower. You can use an alpha hydroxy product on the face or get a q-tip and did it in apple cider vinegar diluted with water a little if sensitive, and just wipe it over the spot in the morning and at night for a few days. It exfoliates the old skin quicker and new skin forms. Make sure it is fully healed and just red before doing this though. You should be fine

I find that if you are fair-skinned...(I am a redhead and very pale)...it takes MUCH longer. I just keep moisturized...I use Avon's Moisture Therapy body lotion.
If you only have a couple places, you could try some scar therapy patches that a lot of companies are putting out in the band-aid sections. But if you have sensitive skin...that may not work...I get a worse reaction from the adhesive.
I just got back from a vacation in the UK and got this great stuff that's like Neosporin, it's called Savlon and it's comes in cream form and spray form. I got the spray and it is great! I am not sure if you can order it online tho.
