Hi Everyone!
I did some research on picking a while back, and I tucked my user info for this site away, and forgot about it. This morning I stumbled on the info, and I decided that now is the time that I need to take control of this problem. Enough is enough!
I have been picking since I was a teenager, but it didn't get out of hand until the last 5 years. I pick at anything, but one area that is causing me great angst is my scalp. It is so embarassing, but I have not been to the salon for a haircut in several months because my scalp is so irritated from the non-stop picking.
I am in desperate need of a haircut, and I want to clear up my scalp. I just bought a new shampoo I read about made by Aubrey Organics called Primrose & Lavender Scalp-Soothing Shampoo. I am hoping this will help.
If anyone out there has any tips on clearing up an irritated scalp, please share.
I also pick at my face, but especially my neck, behind my ears, my ear lobes, my back. I sometimes pick at my cuticles, too.
It is amazing how many people struggle with this problem. It blows me away, actually.
My husband is after me all the time to stop, and I really want to end this vicious cycle.
If there is anyone out there that can offer advice, please do share. I am open to any suggestions!
Thank you.
Take care, JAC
