Hey guys...Hope you all are doing well. I am wondering if a change in the water you use to wash your face can have an effect on your skin. I just came up to NCyesterday. Since then, I have had 5 red bumps pop up on my cheek. They are pretty small and not really anything you could squeeze anytrhing out of. They are slightly raised. What do you think??? I also changed my cleanser about 3 days ago, so maybe that could be the reason? Please write back and give me your opinions. Take care! Bye

The new bumps might be allergy (maybe you are sleeping on new linens or something, pets, pollen). If Benedryl creme (or a cheap version of it...the Dollar General brand actually has more medicine in it) brings them down then it's almost definitely allergy. My cat used to make me break out but I adapted eventually (and I use cleaning cloths on her).
I did live in a dorm for a year with very bad water and it did seem to make me break out more. One of my roommates washed with filtered water in water bottles.
There's always the slight chance it could be a disease. Someone on here got shingles a few months back and thought it was just a weird breakout at first, so if it persists, see a doctor.

I am pretty sure water can make a difference - almost everytime I move to/ visit a place, my skin breaks out a little at first... I have interpreted it as adjusting to the new mix of minerals, etc in the water -- because I use the same soap, am not neccessarily stressed etc. My skin ususally adjusts & goes to a normal level of breaking out after a week or so
